12WBT food - it really is delicious Remember how I told you I was going on a health kick? Well, it’s working.

Since making the pledge and signing up to the Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation program (12WBT), I’ve already lost over 3kg!

Amazing, I know!

Who knew that eating healthy, fresh, portioned food could be so good for you? I can’t stop taking photos of it and sharing them on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter!

Di-licious slowly making friends with exerciseI’m also slowly making friends with exercise.

  • I’m walking 5km every other day with the dog.
  • I’m trying out Mish’s online workouts as well as her DVDs.
  • I bought a fitness step (much to the amusement of Olive).
  • I got myself a heart rate monitor.
  • I joined a local fitness group of 12 weekers through Facebook.
  • I’ve done a couple of jogging spurts during my walks.

It’s an encouraging start and I’m determined to get better.

Support is everything when you embark on a challenge like this and my greatest cheer-squad is my family.

A couple of weeks ago we had to do a benchmark fitness test – something that’s repeated every 4 weeks. The fitness group organised to go down to the local athletics track so we could do our 1km time trial accurately. Mr Di-licious & Olive took on stopwatch duties so us girls could focus on getting around the track as fast as possible.

Even though it wasn’t a race, I must confess that I took a certain amount of satisfaction in finishing the 1km time trial fastest. Its the first time I’ve ever come first in an athletic event. Mr Di-licious told me later that he had to shush Olive from cheering “Mummy’s the winner!” when I crossed the line! :-)

But the real winner for me really is the food. So what’s on the menu this week? Healthy Nachos, Butter chicken, Falafels, Fried rice and my favourite breakfast of all time – Berry Bruschetta!

Life really is healthy and delicious right now!

  1. Good for you Di! I’ve been doing a 3 days a week boot camp style aerobics class session. Its just about killed me and those days are just a write off for me trying to do something else. I don’t stop perspring until 9am the following day! Still early days but these things take time. Can’t wait to hear more about your journey.

Wow – that’s awesome Anne! You go girl! I understand the write off feeling. I’m fine til about 2pm when the euphoria wears off. I’m a zombie by 5pm, making Olive’s night time routine a real effort. But Mish keeps saying that consistency is the key! It’s going to be an interesting couple of months!
